1. General Information
1.1 Brief Introduction
Chulalongkorn University, the Kingdom’s first public university, was established in 1917 by His Majesty King Vajiravudh (Rama VI); the University was named after the King’s father, His Majesty King Chulalongkorn (Rama V). The University extends over a 456-acre tract of land granted by its founder. In the succeeding years, Chulalongkorn University, or “Chula” for short, has grown to become a comprehensive university, which offers over 1,150 programs in almost all areas of study. The University’s numerous programs, including nearly 100 international programs, cover all fields of study, both traditional academic disciplines and interdisciplinary studies. The present enrollment is approximately 37,000 students, 2/3 is undergraduate students and 1/3 is graduate students.

1.4 Proposed Grading System:
- Standard grading system with A, B, C, D and F
- Grading with “S” for Satisfactory or “U” for Unsatisfactory (with examination)
- Grading with “V” for Visitor or “W” for Withdrawn (without examination)

2. Admission Requirements
GPA requirement: preferable 2.75: copy of Transcript is required to submit along with application form.

Marks: Listen and Speak Thai fluently for regular programs taught in Thai. Please submit the proficient test, if any.

2.1 A nomination letter from home institute
2.2 Two reference letters from academic advisors
2.3 An official transcript of academic records (to be issued by the institute presently being attended)
2.4 An English proficiency score record (for non-native speaker of English)*

3. Submit a copy of health insurance policy/plan once you are notified to be accepted as an exchange student. (By the end of July for Fall semester and by the end of November for Spring semester)
